As a movie franchise, the Harry Potter films have inspired a truly huge following. As with any popular movie, there is a whole heap of branded products that fans can buy into. Harry Potter candy make for the ideal gift but what’s on offer?

Harry Potter Jelly Slugs

In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Ron Weasley starts vomiting slugs, the result of attempting to curse Draco Malfoy, the result of trying to cast a spell with a broken wand. Slugs, a gastropod similar to a snail, were also found in the Hogwarts Dungeon in a room appropriately name The Slug Pit.

Thankfully, you don’t have to put yourself or a Harry Potter fan in harm’s way and neither will you need a wand because Harry Potter Jelly Slugs are exactly what you need.

Better still, they probably taste a lot better than an actual slug, not something we recommend anyone tries for obvious health reasons.

Harry Potter Chocolate Wand

It is the huge number of spells and wizardry in the Harry Potter films that makes them such a hit, and not just with children. The franchise enjoys a huge adult following too, with the films and books appealing to people of all ages.

You’ll be hooked from the start, especially when you realise just how easy the spells are to learn. So before you devour the Harry Potter chocolate wand, why not try a few spells?

Summon your spirit animal with Expecto Patronum but take care for this is a powerful and complicated spell. Or turn your worse nightmares into something silly by uttering Riddikulus. Or sneak around undetected with Hermione’s spell Alohomora

If you can’t see what you are doing, simply mutter the word Lumos and there will be light (according to the spellbook anyway!).

The problem is the chocolate wand tastes so good we’d be amazed if it lasted.

Harry Potter Chocolate Frogs

Frogs are not only important in the story of Harry Potter but in all kinds of witchcraft and wizardry.

In Harry Potter, we meet frogs at various times from the summer Harry spent at the Weasley family home, to the dead frog that Hedwig brought home.

We’ve also seen frog brain in potions, although the end result wasn’t always great. Frog brain was accidentally plastered across the ceiling of Dungeon Five, with poor Argus Filch having to spend the morning cleaning it off.

You won’t come across such trouble with Harry Potter Chocolate Frogs, however. They taste far more delicious than what we imagine frog brains taste like!

You never know, with a little magic they may be able to sing as beautifully as The Frog Choir of Hogwarts (but probably not!).

Perfect gifts for the Harry Potter fan

Whether it’s an unexpected treat or a gift for a Harry Potter fan, the range of branded chocolates and candies is worth taking a look at. All are delicious!
